Job Description
The Audio Visual Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating all audio and video services, solutions, and equipment to support organizational needs. This role includes developing, installing, and maintaining AV solutions; troubleshooting issues; and overseeing vendor relationships. The AV Engineer ensures optimal performance and availability of AV systems across conference rooms and event spaces, with responsibilities spanning design, setup, monitoring, and documentation of AV operations. Additionally, the role involves forecasting future AV needs, supporting budgeting, and providing metrics on AV usage and performance, while delivering excellent customer service and technical guidance to staff and stakeholders.
Essential Functions
Audio Visual Operations Maintenance and Optimization: Set up of all A/V needs in support of conferences, or special events to include installing control system hardware and installing control system source code. Maintain, monitor, and periodically test the operation of all built in A/V systems conference rooms. Document and keep current administrative and design manuals for the implementation and maintenance of the A/V network. Provides quality customer service to all staff in the form of hands-on assistance and written instructions. Provide meaningful metrics on usage, performance, and capacity relative to Audio Visual platforms. Liaison to audio conference and videoconference bridge providers, video duplication, A/V equipment vendors and any other vendors related to A/V needs. Assists in development of budgetary items related to Audio Visual platforms and technology.
Audio Visual Design & Architecture: Design, installation, configuration, monitoring, maintenance oversight and support of A/V solutions to ensure optimum performance for employee and member facing communication technologies. Forecasting and road mapping employee and member facing communication needs for future growth.
Subject Matter Expert / Internal Consultant : Increase team effectiveness by providing consulting expertise and technical mentoring across multiple verticals.

Qualifications
Minimum Formal Qualifications for this Position
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Management or similar.
6+ years combined experience in IT to include 3+ years' in an Audio-Visual engineering/support role.
1+ Experience working within and/or exposure to financial services businesses (preferred)
Each year of relevant work experience may be exchanged for a year in a relevant degree program or vice versa. For example, a requirement of a bachelor's degree in accounting and 2+ years of account experience could be substituted for a high school diploma and 6 years of relevant accounting work experience or a master's degree in accounting and 0 years of work experience.
Technical or Specialized Knowledge/Skills:
Experience in supporting and designing MS-Teams, Zoom, Web Ex, or other enterprise audio visual platforms.
Able to read, understand and create Visio or As Built diagrams.
Working knowledge of AV concepts such as acoustics, lighting, aspect ratios and transmission systems and other relevant considerations when designing optimal AV settings.
Strong knowledge of basic networking concepts such as Quality of Service (QoS), virtual LANS (VLANs), static routes, IP subnetting, etc.
Experience working with or within ITIL, DevOps, SRE, and Agile methodologies.
Data driven mindset leveraging metrics to make data-based decisions.

Strong written and oral communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong project management skills and attention to detail.

Additional Information
The pay range for this position is: $40 to $51 per Hour (I15)
Final compensation for this position will be determined by various factors such as relevant work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, certifications, and internal pay equity.
This position is eligible for our corporate bonus program based on company performance.
