The Clinical Administrator plays a pivotal role in managing the clinical activities of postgraduate students, ensuring an efficient and effective learning environment. This position involves extensive interaction with students, patients, Program Director, and the Clinic Manager to oversee student clinical portfolios, patient assignments, and curriculum management. Responsible to the Program Director for the Advanced Education in Prosthodontics, the principal role of the Clinical Administrator includes the daily monitoring of students; activity, patient assignments (based on CODA requirements), assuring timely treatments, and helping patients navigate referrals within the school. In addition, this new position interfaces with the Clinical managers to resolve patient problems. Student clinical grade forms, Academic Portfolios, and schedules are coordinated with the Clinical Administration. The position is based in a clinical and educational setting, requiring regular interaction with students, patients, faculty, and staff. Occasional evenings may be necessary to accommodate clinic schedules and special events. The successful candidate will be instrumental in fostering a supportive and efficient clinical learning environment for postgraduate students and ensuring high standards of patient care.
Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree
Preferred Education:
Master's Degree in healthcare administration
Required Experience:
3+ years relevant experience in clinical administration, dental education, or healthcare management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred Experience:
3+ years Experience in a large dental clinic operation.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills. Proficiency with spreadsheet and database software.
Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Proficiency in clinical management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $77,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
