Position Summary:
This position requires faculty engagement in teaching (both didactic and clinical), research/scholarly activities, and service activities aimed at assisting constituents of the University, the State, and the Region.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Communication Disorders
Supervise students in audiological practicum experiences
Mentor students majoring in Communication Disorders
Conduct research
Mentor research efforts of students
Collaborate in research with faculty and students
Provide service to the Department, the College, the University, and the professional discipline
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Current knowledge and skill in the use of computer technology and educational learning management systems
A commitment to utilizing and teaching evidence-based practice
Strong interpersonal skills including communication, problem solving, counseling, conflict management, and follow-through
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work independently
Interest and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
Ability to assist with tasks assigned by Department Chair
General Days/Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Additional hours as requested and/or needed Regular and reliable attendance

The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellence in teaching or core courses in particularly in the areas of audiology, aural rehabilitation, research, and speech and hearing sciences at both the undergraduate and graduate levels, delivering effective teaching methods that enable a wide range of learners to succeed.
Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Doctoral degree (PhD preferred, or AuD) in audiology, hearing science, or a related area, ABD candidates are welcome to apply and will be considered
Evidence of early research success (i.e., publications, presentations, etc.) for tenure track Experience working with students in a classroom or clinical setting Eligibility for certificate of clinical competence in audiology and Arkansas licensure Experience in the provision of clinical services Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity, equity, and inclusion Active in professional activities at local, state, and/or national levels
