Summary
The University of Wisconsin-Madison's Center for Teaching, Learning & Mentoring (CTLM) seeks to hire an experienced university educator to serve as a Program Manager to lead course and curriculum transformation initiatives. This person will join a passionate and committed team that is working with UW-Madison instructors and departments to improve student learning by advancing the craft of teaching.
As a Program Manager in the CTLM Campus Partner Engagement group (CPEG), you will contribute in three main ways:
1. Manage CTLM programs - You will manage CTLM's IEC program as well as the intake process for instructor consultation requests that are submitted through our web form, email, and other channels.
-Delegate tasks to staff and track progress
-Provide leadership in developing programmatic strategy, documentation, and assessment
2. Lead curricular and course transformation projects (e.g., Include Engage Challenge Program https://ctlm.wisc.edu/get-support-with-teaching/#:~:text=Introducing%20Include%20Engage%20Challenge-) - You will guide course and curricular transformation projects with departments, schools, and colleges.
-Guide individual instructors and instructional teams through all phases of curricular and course transformation processes, from vision to implementation, including supporting teams in centering equity in their course designs and teaching practices
-Apply knowledge of evidence-based teaching practices and organizational development research and principles
-Promote collaboration and effective communication and provide guidance, leadership, and implementation support
3. Contribute to CTLM development - You will participate in CTLM and campus working groups to help the center realize our collective mission.
-Contribute to a positive work culture by collaborating with peers and leadership and participating in community-building opportunities and cross-campus collaborations
-Engage in ongoing professional learning in the scholarship of teaching and learning, innovations in higher education, campus initiatives, instructional technologies, and facilitation skills
This position reports to Associate Director for Campus Partner Engagement of CTLM.
CTLM's mission is to improve learning for all students by advancing the craft of teaching at UW-Madison.

-Establish and strengthen connections in the teaching and learning community
CTLM is part of the Division for Teaching and Learning (DTL) along with the Office of Academic and Career Success (OACS), the Wisconsin Institute for Science Education and Community Engagement (WISCIENCE), the Morgridge Center for Public Service, the Rebecca M. Blank Center for Campus History (CCH), Indigenous Education/Our Shared Future, and the Student Learning Assessment (SLA) office.
We are seeking an individual who can:
-Work effectively and collaboratively as a member of a team and as part of a diverse community of colleagues
-Project manage and lead staff in program development and organizational change
-Foster and promote the values of diversity, equity and inclusion
-Share complex information in a clear, concise and organized manner
Responsibilities:
Provides management and oversight for instructional design, technology, and/or development functions for a unit, division, or institution. May provide instructional design, technology, and/or development services directly to faculty, staff, and other customers. May supervise staff and manage related budgets.

Master's Degree or PhD (any field)
Qualifications:
Required (at time of hire/cannot be trained):
-At least 2 years experience teaching credit-bearing courses in higher education
-At least 5 years experience leading and/or collaborating on complex projects with diverse teams including administrators, instructors, and other partners
-Demonstrated ability to foster and promote the values of diversity, equity, and inclusion, including interacting reflectively and building partnerships among colleagues with different identities and backgrounds and in different settings
-Effective organizational skills and attention to detail
-Effective communication skills including group facilitation and interpersonal communication skills
Preferred:
-Demonstrated experience providing instructional consulting/support, instructional design, support for curriculum development, or instructor training
-Strong working knowledge of current teaching and learning literature and evidence-based practices
-Ability to facilitate organizational change and communicate about organizational change with stakeholders
-Demonstrated experience managing staff formally or in programs

This is a hybrid position that will require you to work at our Madison, WI campus at least three days a week.
