Summary:
The Integrated Behavioral Health Clinician is embedded within the primary care team in the clinic. This person works directly with the team to assess individuals with behavioral health and /or substance abuse issues, and to provide brief treatment services within the clinical setting. Integrated Behavioral Health Clinicians expand the team’s ability to treat persons with chronic medical issues that are complicated by lifestyle factors.
Education, Experience, Skills, Qualifications:
Masters or Doctorate in social work from an accredited college or university
Ideal candidate will have experience or internship in a medical setting that supports a primary care integration model
Commitment to working in community health with the challenges of high risk, and often uninsured and diverse patient population required.
CPR certification is required. (We can train you if not certified.)
Experience in providing managed care patient services.
Proven writing skills to document medical record and submit documentation
Strong/demonstrated communication skills, written and verbal, required
Ability to multi-task, and manage concurrent situations
Previous experience with EHR helpful
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations. Knowledge and experience in information privacy/security laws, access, and release of information.
Ability to successfully complete and pass a background check
