Position Title: Business and Industry Training Instructor

Job Summary: This is a full-time, instructional position reporting to the Vice President of Instruction and providing customized business, industry and on-campus training. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in advanced manufacturing, industrial maintenance, industrial systems, and/or robotics and automation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma with experience, Technical Diploma, or associates required; bachelor's degree preferred.
Minimum of three (3) years of full-time experience in an applicable industrial field.
Thorough knowledge and demonstrated experience using multiple business software applications including Word, Access, Excel, and other MS Office applications.
Ability to tactfully and effectively communicate with the public, employees, industry partners, and students at all levels.
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines and deliver on agreed upon terms.
Demonstrated experience of time management and organizational skills.
Ability and willingness to maintain confidentiality.
Ability and willingness to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects at once with minimal direct supervision.
Ability to read and interpret policies, regulations, and manuals.
Ability to design and maintain record-keeping systems.
GENERAL DUTIES :
The Business and Industry Instructor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following duties:
Serve as liaison between business, industry, and school personnel in determining and coordinating the following: curriculum needs, overall objectives, the scope of training, staffing, scheduling, organizing instruction, length of the program, safety precautions during training, and estimated cost of the training program.
Develop and maintain professional relationships with instructional staff, specifically in TCAT industrial training programs, to assist with the successful placement of students.
Work directly with local and state entities (including chambers of commerce, economic development agencies, workforce development agencies, local school districts, and elected officials) to determine and meet specific workforce development needs.
Actively seek input from advisory committees, focus groups, business and industry, and civic leaders to ensure that services are based on community needs.
Facilitate industry outreach and relationship management.
Assume other duties, assignments, and responsibilities as necessary to accomplish the strategic goals of the TCAT.
Responsible for assisting with progress reports and student outcome data reports for Business and Industry Training Programs.
Assist as a liaison between the TCAT, school systems, and industry partners providing information, tours, and speaking engagements as needed.
Work with industry partners to ensure appropriate outcomes.
Work with the department staff to teach and issue nationally recognized industry certifications.
Teach certification classes as needed at the institution, industry partners, or partner school districts.
Develop rapidly evolving industrial training solutions program.
Develop apprenticeship programs.
Implement On-the Job Training "OJT" tracking tool in future apprenticeship programs.

SALARY RANGE
$55,157 - $66,188 annually commensurate with TBR salary guidelines and applicable experience
