Job Summary:

Provides overall maintenance management of area by coordinating, supervising, organizing, planning, scheduling and implementing project management activities for buildings and systems throughout Wellstar MCG Health System. Areas of responsibility also include operational budget, capital planning and regulatory compliance.




Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

Employee Management: Oversees day to day operations of assigned areas. Possess an ability to build and manage a cohesive maintenance team. Evaluates and determines mechanic assets and deficiencies then provides direction, supervision and training support to ensure optimal performance.


Code Compliance: Coordinates and directs the operation of all assigned activities for Wellstar MCG Health System in accordance with Joint Commission, NFPA, CMS, EPA, OSHA and all applicable codes and requirements.


Open Communication: Demonstrates excellent communication skills. Possess an ability to manage complex and varied workloads. Ensures that all internal and external customers are receiving good communication on workloads, projects, and deadlines.


Budget Management: Prepares and maintains annual budget for assigned cost center, approves and authorizes budgeted expenditures for operating expenses. Develops recommendations for capital improvements for utilities and infrastructure upgrades for assigned area of responsibility.


Teamwork: Trains new personnel and assists with educational needs of assigned staff. Establishes and maintains effective working relationship and promotes teamwork, values, and team goals. Supports the department during staffing emergencies and shows flexibility in accomplishing team goals.

Required Minimum Education:



Highschool diploma, Associates Degree Preferred




Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):



All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.

• Georgia Driver's License

Required Minimum Experience:



5 years or more of experience in healthcare or industrial maintenance setting and 2 years of employee supervisory experience




Required Minimum Skills:



Knowledge of preconstruction and infection control processes
