Job Salary: $90,000 - $95,000



Job Summary



Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the level two Systems Administrator position and to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.


This position will provide Windows administration support focusing on design, specification, integration and implementation on a large-scale end user computing architecture focusing on the client/server aspects on a complex distributed network with multiple classification enclaves and integrated with DoD C2 systems utilizing associated information assurance processes/procedures.

Compensation Minimum: $90,000

Compensation Maximum: $95,000

Job Requirements:



Skills / Experience Required

• Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
• 3+ years of hands-on professional experience as System Administrator for program/project of similar size and scope
• 2+ years of experience as System Administrator supporting a DOD program of similar size and scope
• Windows Administration services shall support the following policies and technologies:
• Physical and Virtual environment and tools
• Windows Client/Server architecture, deployment, configuration and management
• High Availability, diagnostics, capacity management & performance tuning
• Modern server architecture technologies
• Monitoring and problem resolution
• Configuration management
• Optimization and resource management
• Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Minimum Certifications Required: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate and/or Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert.
• Linux Engineering services shall support the following policies and technologies:
• User/Group Management
• File/System Backups
• System reports/logs
• Red Hat and CentOS skills
• Linux Clustering
• DNS, DHCP, AD
• Virtualized and Cloud technologies
• Patching & Package Management
• Spacewalk & Puppet management
• Kickstart & OS Provisioning
• Applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
• Minimum Certifications Required: Linux+

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, or IT related field
• Any Microsoft Windows certification
• Linux+ certification
• Possess IAT/IAM Level II or greater
• Cloud+ or GICSP or GSEC or SSCP

Security Clearance



Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance is required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.



Physical Requirements



Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
