Responsible for managing indirect purchasing process and assist material planning group.
Primary Responsibilities:
Understands and performs daily job duties in a manner which supports the Plant's goals and quality objectives.
Analyze and escalate any significant supplier delivery issues, so plant production is not interrupted.
Monitors Plant's raw and finished inventory through cycle counts.
Participates in Physical Inventories.
Utilizes software systems to determine raw material demand to support manufacturing requirements.
Generates raw material releases and conveys to supplier.
Provides input of delivery and service information for supplier ratings.
Implements and maintains Kanban processes to order materials and control inventory levels.
Understands inventory transactions and their effect on the business.
Maintains front desk area, which includes greeting guests, employee cash reimbursements, daily mail sorting and office supplies inventory.
Assists in purchasing indirect supplies and with planning of employee functions.
May, on occasion, be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description.
Education and Qualifications:
Associate Degree, Trade or Technical School required.
Minimum of two (2) years of experience in Production Control or related background.
Strong written and oral skills in order to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills in order to interpret statistical data.
Computer literate, working knowledge of Windows programs and web-based applications.
Work Environment/Work Conditions:
General office environment and production floor.
Personal Protective Equipment is required on production floor.
