Job Overview:

The Driver Recruiter is responsible for working with hiring managers to understand our driver needs, both company and owner operator, and develop recruiting strategies to attract qualified, capable talent to our organization. This role is responsible for sourcing, screening, and presenting non-exempt driver and owner operator candidates for our open positions in the east and west coast.

We are looking for a strong recruiter to join a dynamic and changing talent acquisition team. Our new teammate should be willing to take on a relationship management role, and work in a high-volume recruiting environment. This person will be the forefront of driving the recruiting strategy and hiring of new drivers. He/she will play a pivotal role in our expanding transportation and logistics business.

Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Recruitment of drivers successfully, effectively and efficiently, with the ability to reach out to large volumes of candidates.

  • Harness UKG and TenStreet software to support candidate and operational process flow seamlessly to guarantee accuracy, success and operational efficiency.

  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with teammates, the hiring managers and operations.

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to develop detailed and accurate job postings and hiring criteria.

  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.

  • Retrieves applications daily from the TenStreet Dashboard (on-line application tool).

  • Schedules interviews, road and drug tests, and paperwork collection with the hiring manager, as needed.

  • Participates in the interview process, collects interview feedback, and communicates status with applicants.

  • Verifies employment eligibility, gathers necessary paperwork, and performs reference and background checks.

  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.

  • Collaborates with hiring managers in further developing a positive on-boarding process and experience for new hires.

  • Attends and hosts hiring fairs where needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:


  • Minimum five years recruiting and hiring experience preferred.

  • Logistics industry knowledge preferred.

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, 10Street and/or UKG.

  • Must be able to source through internet, cold calling, social media platforms and post jobs to generate interest and awareness for open positions

  • Excellent customer service, verbal, written and follow-through skills

  • Works proactively and independently, with the ability to take initiative.

  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.

  • Ability to travel at least twenty-five (25) percent of scheduled time.

Physical Demands:


  • Extended Sitting: Primarily desk-based with prolonged computer use.

  • Computer Use: Frequent operation of computers and office equipment, requiring manual dexterity.

  • Eye Strain and Repetitive Motion: Risk from continuous screen use and repetitive tasks like typing.

  • Office Navigation: Light walking and standing for meetings and tasks within the office.

  • Light Lifting: Occasional handling of objects up to 20 pounds.
