Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Tampa, FL Elevance Health PulsePoint location.
The
Internal Auditing Intern will be responsible for supporting the team in a variety of Internal Audit projects and responsibilities, including but not limited to, planning, field work, and department administration. This intern will assist in performing financial and operational audits to ensure that activities performed by organizational units are planned and executed in accordance with management instructions, applicable policies and procedures, and sound principles of internal control.
This full-time, 12-week internship (May 19th, 2025 - August 8th, 2025) program is an opportunity to be included in key audit deliverables and showcase your critical thinking skills and creativity while gaining experience and working knowledge of Internal Audit in a Fortune 100 company.
How you will make an impact:
Assist with industry research and planning to provide well-rounded support.
Complete tasks related to all phases of the internal audit process.
Document business operations with either Microsoft Visio flowcharts or Word narratives.
Assist with developing, monitoring, and tracking material request lists and/or other audit support.
Document planning and walkthrough meeting minutes and summarize key attendees, items discussed and next actions.
Assist with substantive testing of management's controls.
Build professional relationships and network in the Internal Audit profession.

Minimum Requirements:
Pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, healthcare management, or fields related to business or healthcare
Ability to work 32-40 hours/week for the duration of the internship (5/19/25-8/8/25) with at least one day onsite/week in our Tampa, FL office
Currently enrolled in a program of study at an accredited college/university
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:
Candidates graduating in 2025/2026 with a 3.0 GPA or higher are preferred
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and a quick learner
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.),
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
Ability to apply problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
Ability to develop public speaking and presentation skills
