As a Material Handler III at Lonza AG, you will be part of a dedicated team in our Manufacturing division in Houston, TX. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain experience in various areas including Goods Receipt, Goods Issue, Warehousing, Inventory Control, and GMP environments. Using the SAP system, you will carry out transactions such as Consumption, Material Transaction, Stock Overview, and Goods Issue while strictly ensuring cGMP compliance. This role will enable you to acquire a comprehensive understanding of our materials management processes and develop versatile skills essential for a growing career.
Receiving and Inspection
Receive incoming materials, verify the accuracy of shipments, inspect for damages, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
Complete and record accurate data in the Warehouse Management System - SAP, verifying all receipts against purchase orders.
Material Handling and Storage
Safely transport materials to designated storage areas using appropriate handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
Store materials in a clean, orderly manner, ensuring all storage areas align with GMP requirements.
Perform physical and SAP-based inventory transactions to ensure accurate recording of material location and quantity.
Picking and Issuing Materials
Pick materials for production based on production orders or work orders and deliver to designated areas in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain documentation of all material movements and ensure timely updates in SAP.
Inventory Control
Participate in regular cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation activities.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, report any issues, and assist in troubleshooting to ensure inventory accuracy.
Compliance and Safety
Adhere to all GMP and safety protocols to maintain a compliant and safe work environment.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and align with established environmental health and safety policies.
Documentation and Record-Keeping
Complete all required documentation, including batch records, logs, and material handling forms, ensuring accuracy and legibility.
Follow all documentation practices in alignment with GMP standards, ensuring compliance with FDA and other regulatory requirements.
