GPI seeks a Stormwater and Resiliency Professional with experience in stormwater management and treatment, including green and gray infrastructure, hydrology/hydraulics, stream restoration, and climate and coastal resiliency designs. This ideal candidate will lead or assist in delivering various stormwater and resilient planning and design projects, primarily in New England. The ideal candidate would also have experience in flood mitigation, NPDES permits, and a solid understanding of various federal and state regulatory programs.
We seek a candidate with a strong work ethic, a desire to learn and mentor others, a willingness to work collaboratively with a team, and the ability to work on multiple concurrent projects. The role is intended to focus on transportation infrastructure projects in various settings across New England.

Job Responsibilities:
Support various project types, including studies, planning, design, permitting, and construction for public and private clients. Work on projects that include green and gray infrastructure, culvert assessment and design, hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, drainage, stormwater treatment, resiliency, and stream restoration. Perform hydrologic/hydraulic analyses for the planning, designing, and constructing stormwater management and resiliency projects. Prepare agency-required documentation such as Stormwater Management Reports, pollutant load calculations, SWPPPs, erosion control plans, and permitting documents. Perform design and oversee the preparation of plans and details. Develop specifications, technical reports, quantities, and cost estimating. Develop designs for sea level rise, storm surge, coastal erosion, and flood hardening measures (e.g., seawalls, bulkheads, revetments, deployable flood barriers), as well as coastal nature-based solutions. Develop scopes of work, budgets, and schedules, and manage tasks or projects. Produce deliverables that meet or exceed client expectations.
Minimum Requirements:
Five or more years of experience in civil engineering, with an emphasis on drainage, stormwater management and treatment, and resiliency designs. Excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills. A bachelors degree in civil engineering or a related field is required, and a master's degree is a plus. PE licensure (MA, NH, or ME preferred) or EIT registration
The ideal candidate will also have the following:
Experience completing technical work in areas such as vulnerability/risk assessments. Experience evaluating resilience considerations such as heat, flooding, extreme precipitation, and extreme storms. Familiarity with current research and regulations related to climate change and resilience by federal agencies (e.g., FEMA, USACE, NOAA, and HUD) and state agencies and/or municipalities. Two or more years of experience as a task manager or project manager.
