SUMMARY We are seeking a highly organized and results-driven Transportation Specialist to over-see cost-effective and timely shipments from our Distribution Centers to the final USPS locations. The role is responsible for analyzing capacity, managing vendor performance, and ensuring data integrity within the Transportation Management System and the USPS Fast Application. The specialist will have a strong understanding of transportation logistics and proactive approach to resolving delivery challenges. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Identify and source the most cost-effective delivery routes meeting critical entry times/delivery times at the USPS locations. Proactively monitor all shipments to ensure on-time delivery. Track, report, and resolve delivery delay trends. Ensure prompt dispatch of freight. Partner with cross-functional teams and vendors to resolve any challenges. Monitor, maintain, and update data accurately within multiple systems including the Transportation Management system (OTM). Manage vendor performance. Enforce vendor compliance with transportation and security requirements. Act as a liaison between the transportation group, vendors, and other DHLeC business units. Perform related duties as assigned by the Regional Delivery Manager. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS BA and 2-5 years of experience in related field or equivalent combination of experience and education. Detail oriented, self-starter with strong analytical skills. Works under general supervision. Strong organizational and time management skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office products. Ability to deal effectively in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Occasionally required to work irregular times (weekends, nights).
