The Technical Support Specialist will serve as a key scientific resource, supporting site operations with a focus on manufacturing agarose, precast gels, bioassays, and related products.
This role will provide technical expertise across all site operations and product lines, working closely with cross-functional teams to maintain and enhance product quality and process efficiency. Responsibilities include conducting investigations, designing experiments (DOE), analyzing data, and recommending and implementing corrective actions. Additionally, the specialist will lead initiatives such as new vendor qualifications, the implementation of new processes and products, and driving process improvements for increased efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
Scientific resource within the department and on cross functional teams supporting and driving continuous product and process improvements.
Able to independently perform laboratory tasks using established procedures and maintain Standard Process Controls for key products and processes.
Able to compile and analyze data, write summary reports, and present information with conclusions and recommendations to team members.
Active presence in manufacturing to identify areas of improvement and initiate changes to streamline/simplify processes and perform investigations.
Maintain high quality standards for all products and processes. Support/lead process/product/raw material validations. Support/lead investigations to resolve internal and external non-conformities.
Key Requirements:
Significant laboratory experience with a strong foundation in molecular biology and biochemistry techniques.
Biotech manufacturing experience is a plus.
Proficient in using standard laboratory equipment.
Experienced in creating and revising SOPs, leading validations, and implementing new or improved processes.
Strong understanding of quality standards and systems.
Knowledgeable in statistical analysis methods.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced and constantly evolving environment.
Self-motivated team player with a strong sense of collaboration.
