We are seeking applicants for a Senior Strategic Planning Analyst position specializing in strategic planning and executive facilitation to work on the Communications and Strategic Planning team that supports the 500-person Supervision and Regulation department.

The Supervision and Regulation department serves this overall mission by supervising and regulating state member banks, bank holding companies, and regional, large, and foreign banking institutions. Together, we work to promote a safe, sound, fair and transparent banking and financial system.

About the Position
As a Senior Strategic Planning Analyst you will provide strategic planning and executive facilitation support to the Supervision and Regulation department. You will need to utilize strong time management and organizational skills, as well as demonstrate a deep understanding of strategic planning, project management and change management while working across the department.
•Strategic Planning: You will direct and lead all facets of the department’s annual strategic and business planning processes, including monitoring the business and environment, meeting with and presenting to partners, conducting analysis, tracking performance, and developing actions plans to advance the department’s priorities and initiatives.
•Executive Committee Support: You will be responsible for facilitation of the department’s Executive Committee. Coordinate the committee’s weekly agendas, facilitate meetings, take meeting minutes, identify and follow up on action items and act as a consult to presenters.
•Consultant: You will serve as the primary point of contact and consultant to many internal and external partners.

Your Responsibilities:


  • Leads, participates in and executes strategy-related projects of moderate to high complexity; develops and facilitates project plans, timelines and implementation, including departmental communications and strategies

  • Overall strategy and content lead for department strategic and business planning

  • Analyzes information and develops action plans to advance the department’s strategic planning process

  • Consults with internal and external partners to create focused and value-add communications, analyses, reports, and documents

  • Prepares for and presents conclusions and recommendations, in both written and oral format, concerning moderately complex to complex matters related to strategy, business continuity, and organizational governance

  • Creates, maintains, collects and distributes key materials to support the department such as project plans, tracking spreadsheets, metrics and/or documentation

  • Derives sound analysis of complex topics, conducts thorough and accurate work, supports findings and conclusions, makes recommendations and decisions, and follows-up as appropriate

  • Draws on professional experience and expertise, generates ideas for process improvement initiatives and participates in control activities that establish, maintain and validate standards for the functional area

  • Builds relationships with and gains knowledge from teams within the department; develops relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as other Reserve Banks and departments

  • Serves as a mentor and/or coach; provides guidance, training and constructive feedback to all levels of staff

Your Education & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • Five plus years of direct, work-related experience

  • Education and/or experience in Business Administration, Business Management, Strategy and Operations or similar fields preferred

  • Project Management certification and/or Change Management certification preferred

  • Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or hold a green card with the intent to become a U.S. citizen

Location:

This position is considered Hybrid, which means your presence will be required at the Chicago office.
