The Program Associate will provide administrative support to the Fulbright Teacher Exchanges team in the day-to-day administration of international teacher program activities including logistics support, implementation of program initiatives, financial monitoring, and communicating with partner organizations on program implementation and participant support issues. The Program Associate will also regularly support events management, social media communications and data management.

Your Background & Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
  • 1+ years of work experience; work experience may include internships or part-time jobs or a combination of both.
  • Interest or experience in international education and development and/or supporting professional development for educators.
  • Detail-oriented with ability to multitask, prioritize, and remain flexible while adhering to strict deadlines in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Proven communication and organizational skills with demonstrated cross-cultural sensitivity.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
  • Demonstrated computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and online LMS such as Canvas, and interest to learn other software tools.
  • Speaking, reading and writing proficiency in English required.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent data management skills, salesforce (or comparable CRM/database) experience preferred.
  • Availability to support scheduled program activities in the evenings and on weekends, when needed.
  • Must demonstrate valid proof of unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.

Your Daily Tasks

  • Support team leadership in all aspects of program implementation to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables.
  • Support the management of program email inboxes, social media channels, program website, and Canvas platform.
  • Compile and track a wide range of project information and data, supporting data collection and maintaining accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in arranging virtual and/or in-person event logistics and producing event materials and resources, including travel logistics, and support event implementation.
  • Manage ASPE enrollment for Fulbright participants.
  • Support communications with program participants and partners.
  • Provide customer service to diverse stakeholders, including program alumni, funders, corporate, and university partners.
  • Manage program inboxes and respond to emails daily.
  • Contribute to annual reports to funder, internal reports, survey development and implementation, data collection and processing.
  • Work with program participants and alumni, tracks success stories and program impact data.
  • Conduct research as needed.
  • Support the accurate reconciliation of program expenses each month as needed.
  • Process and maintain financial records and transactions as needed.
  • Create a positive team environment adhering to IREX’s organizational values and management principles.
  • Proactively support IREX’s Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) efforts.
  • Represent IREX and Education Practice interests both within and outside of IREX.
  • Other duties as assigned.

This fulfilling position offers an anticipated salary range of approximately $43,200 - $52,000.

We conduct background checks on all successful candidates.

This position is eligible for Telework. The eligible employee is a regular, full-time DC-based staff who works from a worksite outside the DC office for one or more days a week
