About Us
With energy and purpose, Cooley Dickinson Health Care, an affiliate of Mass General Brigham, is advancing health care in western Massachusetts. With a broad network of providers and facilities serving the Pioneer Valley, our services span a spectrum of medical and surgical needs, diagnostic care, rehabilitation, social work, behavioral health, and other critical needs of the community.
The Cooley Dickinson culture is built on living the values of our organization. Every employee is valued, no matter what professional function. Come work where you can make a difference every day, with opportunities for growth and development, in a great place to call home!
Our Team
Urgent care, sometimes known as walk-in care, fast care, or express care, is a convenient option for patients 18 months and older who require timely medical care, but the situation is not an emergency. Because patients typically come to us when they aren't feeling their best, it is incredibly important to us that our staff members strive to provide the compassion and emotional support our patients need.
Our Urgent Care Center is located at 170 University Drive, Amherst. The operating hours are Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday & Sunday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. We are open on major holidays 9:00am to 5:00pm, but closed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a part time, 20-hour Radiologic Tech to join our team! The ideal schedule will be Monday-Friday 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Since Urgent Care is a 7-day-per-week operation that delivers care days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, we request staff to be flexible with scheduling needs, and take on weekend/holiday coverage as needed. As a small but strong team of 1-2 providers and 2-3 support staff, our Radiologic Techs also perform administrative duties, such as checking in patients, while also functioning as part of a collaborative team.
The Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing radiographic procedures using stationary, portable, and specialized equipment at a technical and professional level that does not require constant supervision and is of acceptable quality.
We do our best to keep all employees in their assigned locations; however, you may also be asked to float to other locations for training/precepting purposes or during times of staffing shortages/other extenuating circumstances (for cross-coverage purposes). The other locations are Southampton and Northampton.
This position is part of the 1199SEIU Bargaining Unit at Cooley Dickinson Hospital.
