Job Summary
The part-time project associate for curriculum internationalization is essential to the implementation of curriculum internationalization and global learning initiatives at IU Indianapolis (IUI). The project associate reports to the director of curriculum internationalization and engages with stakeholders in the Office of International Affairs and across campus, including the IU Indianapolis affiliate campuses of IU Columbus and IU Fort Wayne, as needed.
Department-Specific Responsibilities
Supports the development and upkeep of globally-focused Canvas courses
Provides general support for the advancement of curriculum internationalization and global learning; including programmatic support and administrative support for the director of curriculum internationalization
Serves as coordinator for the Global Voices program, which requires organizing IU Indy student, staff, faculty, and alumni volunteers who share their experiences and perspectives in classes and other contexts
Supports other periodic global learning initiatives as needed, such as the Diplomacy Lab and the Fulbright Scholars Program.
Collects and maintains qualitative and quantitative data to demonstrate impact of curriculum internationalization and global learning initiatives
Coordinates the development and dissemination of resources
Drafts web content as needed.
Provides logistical support for in-person, virtual, and hybrid meetings
Updates Microsoft Teams, Kaltura channels, and Canvas courses
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Required
Bachelor's degree
WORK EXPERIENCE
Required
2 years in academic affairs, student affairs, teaching, non-profit or related field
Preferred
Experience as a graduate, research, or project assistant or other programmatic role in an institution of higher education or related organization
Experience in the field of international education or with internationalization efforts in an institution of higher education or organization
Experience working effectively with faculty
SKILLS
Required
Demonstrates program planning and implementation skills
Excellent organizational skills
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite; especially Outlook (including calendar features), Word, Teams, and Excel
Ability to use Qualtrics, Zoom, Kaltura, and Canvas
Ability to easily learn other online tools as needed
Demonstrated experience organizing, summarizing, and synthesizing qualitative and quantitative data
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills
Demonstrates flexibility and capacity to work with multiple projects and potentially overlapping timelines

Working Conditions / Demands
This role requires the ability operate a computer and other standard office productivity equipment. The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
For remote work, the following is needed:
A high speed, stable internet connection.
A quite private work environment.
A PC running at least Windows 10 or a Mac running Catalina.
A webcam for Zoom and Microsoft Teams video conferencing.
Ability to run Pulse Secure VPN and connect to IUanyware.
A microphone and speakers, or a headset with an attached microphone.
Work Location
IU Indianapolis
This position is eligible to work a hybrid schedule (mix between remote and in-person work), subject to change in the future based on university policy and business needs.
Advertised Salary
$18.00 per hour.
Work Hours
20 hours per week.
Flexible hours between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM ET, Monday - Friday.
There may be occasional evening hours required.
