Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Mechanic in Abbott Park, IL.
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will:
Must be flexible to meet business needs and work occasional overtime, weekend, or extended hours.
Manage daily assigned routine preventative maintenance tasks on equipment/facilities, determine repairs needed or to prevent unsafe conditions or to comply with Company and/or Agency rules and regulations.
Respond to alarm or trouble calls as required and maintain a strong floor presence. Functions as a member of ATM Maintenance Team and assist as necessary to accomplish production goals and throughput initiatives.
Address production stop situations and troubleshoot causes of malfunction in equipment and participate in implementing corrective actions to prevent re-occurrence.
Maintain good knowledge of equipment in the production area (including setup and operation). Attend to applicable training needs to maintain consistent service to production
equipment/areas of focus.
Escort and assist as necessary, outside repair persons in the performance of their duties in production areas.
Maintain appropriate records of work, keep inventory of spare parts and materials, and provide Supervisor with needed information associated with parts or special materials needed to effectively perform repairs on all equipment.
This is a full-time opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
High school diploma required
Pay Rate: $27.00 - $30.20 per hour
