Lab Technician
Where will you work: Onsite Plant City (111 East Tever Street, Plant City, Fl 33563)
The ideal candidate will assist in Microbiology Lab with sample processing, media preparation, quality control (QC) checks, data entry and log/record keeping. As part of the laboratory team, the selected candidate will report to the Research and Development Leader and will collaborate with production specialists.
What you'll do:
Process samples from production of microbial inoculants determining viability and shelf life
Conduct testing of raw materials
Help facilitate a clean lab environment, including preparation, cleaning, sanitizing, and sterilizing of glassware.
Media preparation
Use of lab equipment (e.g. scales, autoclaves)
Perform pipetting and serial dilutions
What you'll need:
BA/BS preferred in Biology, Microbiology, or related areas.
Previous laboratory experience including bacterial culture and cell-based assay techniques is preferred.

Knowledge of office functions and processes, including MS Office 365, MS Databases, and Spreadsheets
Maintain laboratory notebook and prepare raw data for submission to supervisor
Ability to effectively communicate and perform multiple tasks simultaneously, well organized, analytical, and flexible to adjust to priorities
