Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Data Center Test Technician in support of our enterprise storage and compute customer in Fort Collins, CO. In general, this is considered an advanced position where the resource uses ability as a skilled specialist to contribute to the development of new concepts/techniques and to complete assignments/tasks in innovative and effective ways.
Key Tasks:
Data Center Test Technician will be responsible for the test and troubleshooting of racked solutions in a high paced program environment
Utilizes hardware, networking and advanced scripting knowledge to deploy customer specifications per the instructions of the customer
Works on assignments that are highly complex in nature where a strong desire of independent judgment initiate, and technical knowledge are required to solve technical problems
Work is completed independently, and candidate should have the ability to handle unique situations
Troubleshoot failures as they occur; Failures could be either software or hardware in nature
As a Data Center Test Technician, you will be responsible for logging all failures in online system
Responsible for trend data collection as directed by supervisors
Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum requirement of a Technical Associate's degree in Electronics, Computer Networking, Computer Engineering/Tech; Or relevant work experience
1-year minimum experience with Linux and Windows Server Operating System required or equivalent
Previous company hardware experience and understanding of infrastructure and test methods
Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers, supervisors, and engineering support
Knowledge of network transfers, pre-boot execution environment, and TCP/IP required
Experience in network switch configuration, firmware upgrades, subnet masking, is required
Knowledge of image deployment is required
Unix/Linux experience required
Must have Microsoft office experience (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills required
Candidate should be detail oriented and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills to articulate technical trends and concerns
Proven ability to communicate quality concerns with peers and demonstrated conflict management and interpersonal communication skills
Must be able to successfully identify basic purpose of server and rack components
Expert knowledge on the general/technical aspects of the job
Understand failure modes of products and test processes as well as system block diagrams is preferred
Knowledge of VMware is preferred
Knowledge of virtualization is preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
