SUMMARY:
The Academic Program Director provides comprehensive support to the Academic Affairs Office (AA) department and the Provost/Vice President of Academic Affairs (VPAA). The Program Director is responsible for creating course schedules, maintaining course materials, overseeing the Learning Management System. The Program Director collaborates with other departments to establish policies, procedures, and systems to develop and maintain the department for CIAM. The position is responsible for organizing department events; gathering, organizing, and distributing department resources and documents; managing key regulatory processes; coordinating and collaborating with other departments to support AA department needs; and communicating with internal and external constituents (students, faculty, staff, and clients).
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Academics:
Develop and track course scheduling, instructor assignments, and participant records.
Manage Academic Affairs materials, procedures, policies, and communications in coordination with the office of the Registrar.
Partner with the Librarian to ensure that readings and materials are accurate and current.
Improve and maintain the Learning Management System (CANVAS) to ensure that online instructional course information is accurate and current.
Administrative Support:
Assist the Provost/VPAA with organizing and maintaining files, preparing agendas, taking/transcribing meeting notes, and other administrative duties.
Serve as recording secretary for the AA Board Committee and Faculty-in-Service Meetings, creates materials, and maintain a filing system for all documents.
Maintain accreditation and regulatory documents, calendars, correspondence, and payments
Faculty and Student Support:
Serves as a primary point of contact for full-time faculty and adjuncts, including attending workshops, classes, and events outside regular business hours.
Provide support to students as a secondary resource to faculty.
Assist instructors with gathering course/workshop materials (books, articles, tests, assessments).
Provide supplementary support for faculty on Canvas LMS issues.
Event and Program Coordination:
Plan and coordinate department events and activities and required.
Develop and track course scheduling and instructor assignments.
Collaboration and Communication:
Partner with Institutional Research, Assessment, Instructional Design members to ensure the collection/dissemination of course evaluations, assessment instruments, and reports, and to maintain accurate instructional course information.
Work with the Provost and Human Resources in hiring and onboarding faculty.
Partner with the Marketing department to ensure website and other communications are accurate and current.
Operational Management:
Track the departments budget in collaboration with the VPA.
Support department of Student Success and Admissions to ensure appropriate delivery and management of services and resources to students.
General Responsibilities:

QUALIFICATIONS
A bachelors degree is required; a masters degree or graduate coursework preferred.
At least 3 years of experience in higher education administration, including familiarity with assessment, program review, and online instructional delivery, with a strong record of academic leadership.
Strong financial and budgeting background preferred.
High level of computer proficiency, including MS Office (Access, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint, and Word) and Adobe Professional

BENEFITS SUMMARY
Salary will be commensurate with experience and internal equity. Employment is contingent upon successful completion and clearance of a background check and employment verification.
SALARY RANGE: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00/Yr.
Additionally, CIAMs Annual Safety and Security Report 2021-2023 report is available to you. This report is required by federal law and contains policy statements and crime statistics for the school. The policy statements address the schools policies, procedures and programs concerning safety and security, for example, policies for responding to emergency situations and sexual offenses.
