Job Description:

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Assemble mechanical test rigs.
  • Provide tooling designs and drawings for test fixtures.
  • Provide design concepts for new testing equipment.
  • Upgrade testing equipment to ensure optimal operation.
  • Create programs required for the control of testing equipment and data acquisition. Monitor test programs.
  • Process all data collected from testing programs.
  • Provide detailed Test Reports as needed at the completion of a testing program.
  • Provide testing support to production when needed.
  • Provide support for new process development and process qualification programs
  • Provide Research and Development support for New Product programs

Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or related engineering field and/or 4 years of experience in mechanical design or manufacturing methods and/or related engineering field. Must be technically minded and hands on and understand conduit (hydraulic, air, electrical) systems, fittings and troubleshooting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
  • Mill and Lathe experience is preferred.



Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:


  • Hands on individual with ability to use regular household tools.

  • Hands on experience in wood working, fabricating metal, sculpturing, constriction etc.
  • Knowledge of testing fixture design and setup. Knowledge of measuring techniques and data acquisition. Knowledge of calibration requirements and practices.
  • Understanding of Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
  • Ability to interpret customer and industry standards and specifications. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations, and permutations.
  • Knowledge of Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Solidworks, and LabView.



Physical & Environmental Factors:


While performing the duties of this job, the employee generally works indoors within the office and manufacturing areas. The employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate or loud. Also, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or to hear. The employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.



This role is subject to compliance with the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR), which requires the incumbent to be either a US citizen, lawful permanent resident ["green card" holders] or have refugee or asylee status.




**Please note that the salary range information is only applicable for California. The pay range represents the low and high end of the salary range we reasonably expect to pay for this position at the time of posting. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, geographic location, experience, education, skills, qualifications, performance, and business or organizational needs.



Pay: $72,000.00/year
