Job Summary:
Supports mechanical engineers with industrial mechanical equipment operations, prepares drafted drawings and specifications, and records data.
What You Will Do:
• Assisting mechanical engineers in the design, development and testing of industrial machinery, consumer products, manufacturing tools and other equipment.
• Assisting in the installation and on-going troubleshooting and maintenance of machinery used to manufacture other products as well as operating that machinery.
• Preparing mechanical models, rough layouts, detailed drawings and specifications; analyzing, calculating, estimating and recording associated data such as costs, tolerances, detailed characteristics and other specifications.
• Check dimensions of materials to be used and assign numbers to the material so.
• Lay out and draw schematic, orthographic, or angle views to depict functional relationships of components, assemblies, systems, and machines.
Education Requirement:
Associate's degree- drafting, design, or engineering related

Additional Information
The location for this position is Rapid City, SD.
Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Any relocation costs incurred would be the responsibility of the selected candidate.
This position will require less than 10% travel.
