This position is part of the
Gene Writing and Editing Business Unit located in
Coralville, Iowa and will be

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Serve as a subject matter expert for Synthetic Biology (SynBio) products and their target markets/customers with regular analysis of trends and competitors.
Own product life cycle management, including developing strategic plans and pricing strategies to achieve annual revenue and margin growth objectives, executing product obsolescence and discontinuation to meet product strategy, and partnering across multiple functions including Marketing, Finance, Legal, Manufacturing, Quality, and others to launch and manage SynBio products.
Develop reports and presentations on competitive landscape and offer strategic recommendations to senior management to support data-driven decision making. Build and leverage market/customer & competitive insights to establish multi-year product forecasts. Conduct analyses on competitors, market trends, opportunities and threats to inform commercial strategy.
Partner with Innovation Product Management on New Product Commercialization content, partner with Sales to develop sales enablement training for new and on-market products and support key accounts, partner with Quality and Operations on quality and supply issues and own communication to the commercial teams and customers when necessary.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor's degree in business, life sciences (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.), marketing, or other relevant field AND 2+ years of experience in Product Management or Commercial Marketing OR advanced degree (Master's, MBA, or PhD) in business, life sciences (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology, etc.), marketing, or other relevant field AND 1+ years of experience in Product Management or Commercial Marketing or internal Danaher experience.
2+ years of experience within Life Sciences, Diagnostics, or related scientific industry
1+ year of demonstrated success in launching and supporting excellent products that meet their financial goals
3+ years of demonstrated knowledge of molecular biology and the application of synthetic biology products.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
5+ years of experience in Product Management or Commercial Marketing
3+ years of experience in customer-facing roles
2+ years of experience of demonstrated strong analytical skills and ability to translate complex data analysis into actionable insights
Demonstrated experience influencing all levels of an organization including Senior and Functional Leaders to lead change without direct supervisory leverage
Demonstrated ability to thrive in a highly metric-focused driven environment
