Responsibilities:
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Stryker vehicles and associated equipment to meet 1020 standards.
Conduct vehicle quality checks in line with De-processing check sheets and Joint Technical Inspection (TI) forms.
Assist in equipment modifications/installations under USG supervision.
Provide technical support and assist team members with troubleshooting as needed.
Execute vehicle De-processing, including Preventative Maintenance Checks and Services (PMCS) and crew station operations.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols, including training and proper use of personal protective equipment.
Other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education: Documented commercial training and/or equivalent experience in military vehicle mechanics.
Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a NACI clearance for access to US military installations.
Experience: 2-5 years of mechanic experience; maintenance on tactical/combat vehicles preferred (91B, 91S, 63S, 63W, 63B, or USMC MOS 2147, 3521, 3522, 3524); Stryker, LAV 2.5, or LAV III experience desirable.
Licenses/Certifications: Ability to be issued and maintain a Class B CDL and a US Passport; preference for candidates with an existing Class B CDL.
Work Environment: Ability to work in confined spaces, extreme temperatures, and in various maintenance environments (field/improved facilities).
Additional Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work at heights, climb onto vehicles, and work extended hours in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
Must meet ASR guidelines for driver's station entry (Standard Practice 2-644).
Must be able to gain and maintain access to Joint Base Lewis-McChord and other military bases.
Must be a U.S. person and able to deploy for fielding missions both CONUS and OCONUS as needed.
