The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center and the Department of Surgery have an exciting opportunity for a Post-Doctoral Associate position in breast cancer research. The candidate will perform scientific research under the supervision of Dr. Karoline Briegel to study the molecular mechanisms underlying breast cancer heterogeneity, metastatic progression, and treatment resistance, with a focus on novel WNT transcriptional/epigenetic mechanisms controlling epithelial lineage plasticity and cancer stem cell formation/maintenance. The individual will take a multidisciplinary approach, including protein-protein interaction studies, next generation sequencing, stem cell assays, and spatial multiplex analysis of the tumor microenvironment, in combination with patient-derived organoid and mouse in vivo models of breast cancer.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
