The Anthropology Department at Colby College is a small, dynamic department focused on cultural anthropology. We invite applications to teach one or two courses in the spring semester of 2025.
Successful candidates will teach either one section of our introduction to cultural anthropology course; or one 300-level seminar and a section of our introduction to cultural anthropology course. The seminar can be based on the candidate's expertise; we seek topics that will contribute new areas to our offerings. Our introduction to cultural anthropology is capped at 30 and is an introduction to current topics in cultural anthropology; our 300-level seminars are capped at 15 and meet for 2.5 hours.
Applicants must have a demonstrated record of teaching excellence, with preference given to those with experience teaching in a Liberal Arts setting. Ph.D. (preferred) or advanced ABD.
