The Associate Director of Annual Giving is responsible for establishing and facilitating an omnichannel segmentation strategy around securing current use funds, as well as building and retaining a long-term pipeline of philanthropic support. The Associate Director will regularly evaluate programming, emerging digital technologies, dual-ask, and other partnerships with gift officers and strategies for annual leadership donors.



CORE JOB FUNCTIONS



1. The Associate Director of annual giving is the strategic visionary and facilitator for an omnichannel annual giving program in partnership with annual giving data analysts.


2. The leader will identify how to utilize and optimize annual giving scores and multi-variable predictive indices to ensure donor acquisition, retention, and revenue growth.


3. The Associate Director will partner with colleagues to establish a solicitation and stewardship program for the acquisition and retention of specific constituencies, including, but not limited to, first-year and consecutive donors.


4. In conjunction with the Sr. Director, the Associate Director will establish a robust and data-driven solicitation strategy that supports the mission and priorities of the institution. In doing so, the Associate Director will manage vendor relationships and budget and establish key performance indicators and other metrics to measure and grow donors and dollars.


5. The Associate Director will partner with a data analyst and the Sr. Director of Annual Giving to ensure that data segmentation of targeted audiences is pulled on time, correctly, and has established measurements. The leader will also manage the annual giving solicitation calendar for their program area.


6. In conjunction with the Sr. Director, the Associate Director will oversee various solicitation strategies, including, but not limited to, peer-to-peer, young alumni, parents, student philanthropy liaison, faculty and staff giving while managing schools and college partner relationships.


7. The Associate Director will proactively maintain knowledge of current trends in the annual giving field by participating in peer networking and professional education opportunities and monitoring appropriate trade publications, blogs, and websites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS



Education:


Bachelor's Degree in relevant field required.



Experience:


Minimum 4 years of relevant experience. Any relevant education, certifications and/or work experience may be considered.



Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:


● Knowledge of business and management principles.


● Ability to direct, manage, implement, and evaluate department operations.


● Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.


● Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.


● Ability to lead, motivate, develop, and train others.
