The Department of Physics, within the College of Arts and Sciences, seeks a Post Doctoral Scholar to join the The Lightwave Electronics and Attosecond Photonics (LEAP) group.



The Lightwave Electronics and Attosecond Photonics (LEAP) group at The Ohio State University performs research in ultrafast light source development and applications to studies of electron dynamics in molecular and solid-state systems.



Under the supervision of Professor Michael Chini, he/she will work on two main activities:


1) Commissioning a setup for attosecond spectroscopy in materials.


2) Designing an intense attosecond source for time-resolved second harmonic spectroscopy.



In addition to these two primary activities, the postdoc can also participate in other LEAP group activities, such as experiments in lightwave electronics and high-order harmonic generation.




Minimum Education Required - Ph.D in Physics, Chemistry, Optics, or Electrical Engineering




Required Qualifications - Experience with ultrafast laser-solid interactions
