As a Space Test and Training Network Engineer, you will provide essential support for the acquisition, development, and sustainment of the USSF's long-term test and training network capabilities. You will be responsible for assisting in the planning, coordination, analysis, execution, and reporting of network acquisitions specifically designed to support space systems testing and training. This position requires strong skills in implementing fiber design engineering standards, as well as strategic communication for project deployments, upgrades, and maintenance activities.
Core responsibilities include designing, developing, and delivering network solutions, including topological design, network synthesis, and realization. You will create detailed network documentation, evaluate existing and partner-produced network designs, and ensure that all networks align with cybersecurity regulations and policies. This role also involves managing the end-to-end design, construction, and automation of both physical and wireless networks for test and training, ensuring seamless connectivity across devices and systems.
As a key contributor to infrastructure improvement, you will identify and implement solutions to enhance network functionality, streamline repetitive tasks, and collaborate with vendors and team members to integrate advanced technologies. You will monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance, analyze system functionality, and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.
