Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Temporary Paralegal to assist our legal team with various tasks essential to trial preparation and daily operations. This onsite position offers the chance to gain valuable experience and potentially transition into a permanent role within our expanding firm.
Key Responsibilities
Trial Preparation: Assist attorneys in preparing for trials, including organizing exhibits, compiling evidence, and coordinating witness schedules.
Client Communication: Serve as a point of contact for clients, managing inquiries, scheduling meetings, and maintaining client records.
E-Filing: Prepare and submit legal documents electronically in compliance with court requirements and deadlines.
Document Management: Draft, proofread, and file legal documents such as briefs, motions, and contracts.
Research: Conduct legal research and gather relevant information to support case development.
Administrative Support: Perform various administrative tasks as needed, including managing calendars, coordinating meetings, and maintaining office supplies.
Collaboration: Work closely with attorneys, other paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and office operations.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
Experience: 6 Months of paralegal experience, preferably in a law firm setting is preferred but not required.
Skills:
Proficient in legal research tools and e-filing systems.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Other Requirements:
Must be able to work onsite at our downtown office.
Familiarity with Needles is a plus.
