Growing company is currently seeking a Junior Bookkeeper to join our accounting team. This role is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow their experience in financial record keeping. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:
Assisting with the maintenance of accounts receivable and payable.
Processing transactions and conducting daily financial entries and reconciliations.
Assisting with the preparation of financial reports.
Maintaining accurate and updated records of financial transactions.
Assisting in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings.
Providing support to the senior bookkeeper and accounting staff as needed.
Assisting with administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting is a plus, but not required.
Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel, and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
Strong attention to detail and ability to keep records and files organized.
Strong numerical skills and understanding of basic accounting principles.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to handle confidential information.
