Main Purpose of the Role: The General Ledger Accountant will be responsible for general accounting functions involving Cash, Debt, Intangibles, and Prepaids, as well as BlackLine administration. This position will participate in the closure of the monthly books, prepare monthly journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and assist with other ad hoc assignments. This role will align with those who are looking to grow their skills and experience as a GL Accountant.
Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare journal entries in accordance with US GAAP standards.


• Meet reporting deadlines and support month, quarter, and year-end close processes.


• Analyze and perform account reconciliations in a timely and accurate manner.


• Collaborate with others across multiple departments and lines of business.


• Performs BlackLine administrator duties including maintaining account reconciliation assignments, task assignors, and key control reporting.


• Holds oneself and others accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Bioventus' Code of Compliance and Ethics, policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to their role.


• Collaborates with Audit & Risk Management function to identify business risks and develop and implement preventive strategies for functional areas.


• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.


• Minimum of (1-3) years of experience in accounting.


• Knowledge in using accounting software and ERP systems; SAP is a plus.


• Analytical skills with the desire to learn.


• Excel experience including vlookup and pivot tables, and excellent attention to detail and accuracy


• Demonstrates ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across different teams and levels of the organization.


• High level of integrity, ethics, and confidentiality when handling confidential information
