The Logistics Lead will report to the Logistics Director and will be responsible for successfully leading a team of dispatchers executing transactions of equipment moves, inbound and outbound freight movements as well as ensuring customer interactions are handled at the highest professional level. This position has oversight of coordination efforts for final goods deliveries between management, sales, customers, and plant operations in our fast-paced work environment.
Essential Functions
Manage the dispatch staff and coordinate activities to ensure smooth operation of the dispatch process and the efficient and effective movement of products
Supervise and set the schedules for the dispatch team
Communicate customer needs to employees, observe progress, and coordinate responses
Handle complaints, confer with others about challenges, evaluate service levels, and provide recommendations to and work with management to develop action plans to improve performance, profitability, and customer service
Monitor team efficiencies; and innovate, promote, and lead continuous improvement efforts
Evaluate and manage key performance Indicators and cost factors impacting operational effectiveness
Communicate with customers on a regular basis regarding transportation issues that impact them
Ensure compliance of organizational policies and applicable government laws or regulations
Organize and schedule resources required to accomplish activities, oversee routing modifications, and ensure equipment and staff are being utilized efficiently
Manage mobile storage and plant transport fleet maintenance and compliance
Diagnose, troubleshoot and resolve a wide range of software, hardware and network issues
Handle performance reviews, pay changes, employee feedback, grievances, or complaints; and provide employee training, motivation, and encouragement
Education Qualifications
High School or Equivalent
Experience Qualifications
8+ years experience in dispatching, truck driving or other related fields is preferred

Willingness to work shift work, overtime and on call shifts for after-hours and weekend support (Seasonal)
Will be required to successfully pass a physical and drug test
Must have reliable transportation to and from work
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills.
