SUMMARY : Under the general supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, this position will be responsible for streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing grant post-award administration, directing project management efforts, and managing the budget development process. This position is an executive role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration. The position is responsible for creating and communicating a clear vision for the organization's future growth and success. This will involve conducting market research and analysis, identifying key trends and opportunities, and setting strategic goals and objectives.
SOME OF THE THINGS THAT YOU WILL GET TO DO (this is just a small sampling of work variety):
Direct Responsibilities
Lead special projects, organizational growth initiatives, and organizational planning
Monitor resources and recommend allocations on large strategic initiatives
Lead process improvement and business analysis efforts by evaluating workload and workflow for efficiency and effectiveness, including Lean and Six Sigma thinking and shared services considerations
Provide guidance to the CEO and other executives on sensitive subject matters that require considerable judgement and confidentiality
Act as an informational funnel for the CEO's Office and will help address issues and build a bridge to resolution, as needed
In collaboration with the CEO and Leadership, produce the Bi-Annual Report and update the Strategic Plan
Direct change management on multi-division initiatives
Acts as a liaison to the CSU Chancellor's Officer for long-range capital planning
Spearhead the annual capital and operating budget development process in collaboration with the CFO
Oversight of Project Management, Grant, Contracts, Sponsored Programs, and Campus Program Accounts
Supervision of Project Management & Contracts Administrator, Grants Manager, and other direct reports
Coordinate operational/CSU audits
Prioritize projects, strategic initiatives, contracts, and critical tasks for project management support
Drive process improvement efforts and special projects to forward
Form liaisons with campus partners
Ensure team is fully trained on administration of programs
Conduct analysis to identify management, financial and administrative issues
Ensure policies, processes and procedures are in alignment with regulations
Manage the annual Single and Child Care audits
Strengthen financial risk mitigation efforts through analysis, development of strategies, and management of implementation
Support Roles
Aid the CEO and senior executives in fostering strong BOD relationships
Provide hands-on support to transform ideas into reality and monitor progress
Support the Executive Team in ROI evaluation
Aid the Director of RE&F in property development projects and analysis
Act as a training resource for risk mitigation, financial, and process improvement
Partner with other leaders to drive third-party contract, MOU, and partnership negotiations
Support the CFO in preparing for and managing the annual Financial Audit and periodic Advisory Reviews
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in business administration or similar field
Seven or more years of experience in a business management or executive role
Experience in organizing and directing multiple teams and departments
Experience in planning and leading strategic initiatives
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Versatile abilities and extreme dedication to efficient productivity
Must understand the Mission, Vision and Values of the organization and lead based on those concepts.
Must be able to adhere to a regular work schedule.
Must be able to pass a background check and LiveScan
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's degree in a related field
Certified Auxiliary Services Professional certification (CASP)
Experience in data analysis and budget management
Proven success in a project coordination role
Nimble business mind, focused on developing creative solutions
Strong project-reporting skills, with focus on interdepartmental communications
