Solutions Engineer Executive Advisor




Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote & office). The ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of our Indianapolis, IN PulsePoint office location.


The Solutions Engineer Executive Advisor establishes and leads the overall application architecture vision and strategy for a product or suite of products for a contract or business area. You will create and mature application solutions that maximizes business value.



How You Will Make An Impact:


  • Responsible for delivery of application technology solutions and data information planning efforts.

  • Participates in review and decision making for enterprise solutions

  • Creates architectural solutions that articulate and deliver on the business needs, considering all applications in the context.

  • Recommends modern technologies based upon business value and helps drive new technologies towards implementation

  • Contributes to the holistic vision of Enterprise Architecture.

  • Participates in creating a cloud strategy and managing the implementation process.

  • Defines systems, technical and application architectures for new strategic initiatives; develops and maintains an architectural blueprint and evolutionary roadmap.

  • Recommend software products, application integration opportunities, tooling, processes and practices improvements.

  • Create architectural solutions to enable business capabilities that are effective, maintainable and scale.

  • Responsible for implementing DevSecOps practices, techniques, tooling and testing to achieve solution performance KPIs while transforming the culture.

  • Responsible for supporting and meeting audit/compliance standards.

  • Responsible for the implementation/maintenance of regression, performance, and security portions of the application testing and contributing to the maturing of those processes.

  • Contribute to improvements in the financial efficiency of the application/suite of applications.

  • Responsible for the support of NGS use of the following AWS tools: AWS Transfer Family, AWS Lambda, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub, AWS Inspector, CMS Splunk, and New Relic.

  • Ensures unit test is completed and meets the test plan requirements, system testing is completed and system is implemented according to plan.

  • Coordinates and manages on-call support and owns the system monitoring process.

  • Reviews and monitors initiatives for end to end impact and coordination.




Minimum Requirements:



  • Requires an BA/BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field of study and a minimum of 9 years' experience working on business and technical multi platforms applications; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

  • This position is part of our NGS (National Government Services) division which, per CMS TDL 190275, requires foreign national applicants meet the residency requirement of living in the United States at least three of the past five years.




Preferred Skills, Capabilities & Experiences:



  • 9 years' of experience in Application architecture and development with responsibilities ranging from hands-on work, defining strategy and leading implementation across a variety of tech stacks such as Java/.Net, Mainframe, Low Code Platforms, Open Source Software and off-the-shelf products is preferred.

  • Experience in a Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) environment preferred.

  • Experience with DevSecOps and hands on involvement with creating an integrated CI/CD pipeline is helpful.

  • Prior experience in partnering with business, product management and product development teams to propose and improve products that deliver value while implementing modernization is preferred.

  • Experience in tool combinations such as Jira, UrbanCode , GitHub, Spring Tool Suite, .Net REST API, RESTful Webservices, AWS Transfer Family, AWS Lambda, AWS CloudWatch, AWS Security Hub, AWS Inspector, CMS Splunk, New Relic, SonarQube, GitLab , Jenkins, Ant, Maven, Gradle, Groovy, jFrog, Cucumber, Selenium, jUnit, SoapUI, jMeter, Bash, PowerShell, Chef, Ansible, Puppet, Chrome Developer Tools, Dynatrace, NetProfile, AppInternals, Docker & Kubernetes is preferred.

  • Experience in on-prem as well as private/public cloud environments is preferred.

  • Experience with Agile and SAFe certification is preferred.

  • Familiarity with ARS, FISMA security requirements and understanding of PHI/PII data security practices is helpful.

  • Healthcare experience a plus.
