Job Overview

The Associate, Community Affairs position is responsible for supporting all aspects of community events, affairs and outreach, grassroots activities, educational forums, town hall meetings, health fairs, and serves as a major resource regarding AltaMed’s programs and services in the community. Additionally, this position increases awareness of AltaMed and its priorities among community, public, and non-traditional community by collaborating directly with all community partners. Support community engagement and outreach plans tied to marketing campaigns or initiatives.

Minimum Requirements

• High School graduate required.

• College Associates degrees or bachelor’s degree is highly desirable.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in community affairs or community relations programs and event planning and coordination highly desired.

• Health care experience is a plus.

• Demonstrates strong understanding of multicultural target audiences and knowledge of cultural and linguistic sensitivities within the geographic area served highly desirable.

• Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) and experience working with the Latino community are a plus.

Compensation

$24.00 - $25.83 hourly
