Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer in the Auto Operations Control team. This team supports the Auto Operations group within Consumer Lending Operations. The role will focus on supporting the design and implementation of two key strategic Auto programs being implemented over the next two years and work directly with all teams and support partners within the Auto Line of Business.
In this role, you will:
Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area
Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
Support other BAU Auto Operations control activities, including monitoring of metrics, design and oversight of controls and support of RCSA related tasks.
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Knowledge of operational risk and compliance framework, primarily in the banking industry and its related operations.
Experience with issue management lifecycle including root cause analysis, analyzing risks and remediation plans for resolution, and testing effectiveness (design and performance) of associated controls.
Risk and Control Self- Assessment (RCSA) and Issue Management experience
Experience in developing and/or monitoring key risk indicators
A thorough understanding of enterprise risk management framework including risk identification, risk appetite and strategy, risk-related decisions, processes and controls, risk analytics and governance
Experience with RCSA, G&O Framework, Data Management Policy, and/or COSO Policy
Knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) concepts and policies across risk types (regulatory, operational, data integrity, Governance/Oversight, etc.)
Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management in technology services
Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders
Proven leadership and project management skills to drive alignment across stakeholder groups to develop and deliver repeatable end-to-end risk management solutions and controls aligned with group's processes
Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
A BS/BA degree or higher preferred
