Sourcing Operations Specialist at Best Buy in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Job Description:

As the Sourcing Operations Specialist, you'll act as an independent contributor supporting strategic sourcing activities. These include preparing bids, soliciting supplier quotes, conducting bid analytics, reporting on projects, engaging with suppliers and internal business stakeholders and managing vendor setup. You'll manage a high volume of low to medium complexity projects and act as the subject matter expert in the tools and processes used in sourcing activities. You'll contribute to the standardization of sourcing activities while improving executional efficiencies.

This role is hybrid, which means you will be required to work some days on-site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or other non-Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team. The recruiter or hiring manager will provide more details during the hiring process.

What you'll do
Carry out a range of quoting tactics including RFI, RFQ, RFP, eAuctions and 3Bids & a BuyObtain quotes from current suppliers as requested by strategic sourcing category leadsSupport strategic sourcing category leads on executing contracts such as extensions, amendments, exhibits and NDAsCommunicate project status to strategic sourcing and stakeholdersAssure correct data capture and project closure according to team standardsManage the CAF/DocuSign routing process in line with all applicable policies
Basic qualifications
Basic proficiency in Excel (Pivot Tables) and WordStrong analytical skillsDetail-oriented Ability to work under tight deadlines or changing needsAbility to multitask Ability to take direction from multiple stakeholders
Preferred qualifications
Basic experience using eSourcing toolsBasic understanding of Strategic Sourcing and the 7-step sourcing processStrong communications skills (verbal and written)
