Job Description:

SUMMARY: This person would be responsible for movement of product and supplies in the warehouse/production areas of the Faribault location.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Load and unload various containers, including but not limited to, semi trailers, rail cars and cargo containers of various length and style.
Locate product and materials, including but not limited, to brite and labeled product, raw materials, packaging and shipping materials and HOLD product, utilizing Company inventory management system.
Responsible to routinely generate and review all necessary paperwork pertaining to receiving and shipping of products, raw materials or other inventory items.
Maintains general housekeeping of warehouse areas and other cleaning projects per Company, Regulatory and Customer parameters.
Responsible to oversee strict observance of all safety rules and will use extreme caution around moving machinery.
Responsible for Good Manufacturing Practices compliance.
Able to meet all attendance requirements based on Company's Attendance Policy.
Effectively cooperate with direct supervision as well as maintain professional and cooperative relationships with subordinates and peers.
Be able to consistently lift up to 50 lbs.
Back up forklift operator for Logistics functions at other locations as necessary.



QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Must be able to operate a forklift. Must pass our forklift certification training. Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record for traveling between facilities. Knowledge and desire to learn our bar code scanning procedures.

This person would need to be a self-starter and be able to work without close supervision.

ENGLISH PROFICIENCY REQUIREMENTS:
SPEAKING: Verbally interacts to coordinate tasks with others one-on-one and with one or more people, face to face or on the phone; often with authority figures, in academic/workplace contexts. Explains how to carry out a process, procedure, method or technique.
LISTENING: Must possess adequate listening/interpreting skills to satisfy most academic and work-related expectations for competent communication. Can follow extensive, multi-step complex instructions on how to operate a machine and can complete a related evaluation task in a standard format: circling, matching, filling in blanks, completing a chart.
DOCUMENT USE: Able to locate and integrate, or compare/contrast 2-3 specific pieces of information in visually complex texts (e.g., tables, calendars, schedules, phone directories, cookbooks) or across paragraphs or sections of text. Able to look at complex diagram/overview of a manufacturing operation and compares accuracy of graphic information with the detailed descriptive text.
READING: Able to read policy and procedure manuals, equipment, installation and use manuals, user product guides, health and safety advisories, legal and administrative procedures, scientific and experimental procedures. Able to interpret selections from texts about safety precautions at a workplace, by locating and integrating 3-4 pieces of information from the text.
WRITING: Able to convey business messages as written notes, memoranda, letters of request, or work log entries, to indicate a problem, to request a change, or to request information.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to perform the above operations using units of American measurement, weight and volume measurements. Must be able accurately record and chart results. Must be able to operate a calculator to determine sums, averages and ranges.

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions. Must be able to read and understand training manuals. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representatives of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, sit, walk, reach, stretch, stoop, bend and climb stairs. This employee will be required to twist and turn body while sitting.

The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. May lift up to 70 lbs. if moving a pallet. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and color vision.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Warehouse environment that is sometimes dark, dusty/dirty, hot/humid in summer and cold in winter.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
