Financial GAAP Reporting Co-Op Program
Location: Warren, NJ - Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Join Everest's Investment Accounting department in 2025! This is an exciting opportunity to receive exposure to the world of Financial GAAP Reporting through dynamic training, firsthand business experience, and networking with the Property & Casualty (Re)Insurance industry's leading experts and experienced finance professionals. A prospective student candidate can expect to build upon their established academic foundations and apply learnings to real world scenarios.
The Co-Op Program will run for approximately 16-20 weeks: Spring - Fall, 2025

Your Impact and Opportunity
An internship within Financial GAAP Reporting is a unique opportunity to combine the experience provided by (Re)Insurance industry exposure, with accounting and auditing exposure which is typically only found through an internship program in public accounting. At Everest, you will have an opportunity to see the internal workings of a global (Re)Insurance company, combined with the skills and knowledge required of an accountant and auditor. During the internship, you can expect to assist the Investment Accounting Group with a variety of projects including, but not limited to:
Assisting the group with the monthly closing process which includes but is not limited to collating reports, uploading monthly investment activity, completing investment reconciliations.
Entering manual journals into the general ledger via Oracle.
Accounting for various limited/general partnerships (capital calls, distribution notices, and equity adjustments).
Utilizing Bloomberg terminal to gather security information.
Participating in the quarter-end GAAP & STAT reporting process.
Completion of various ad hoc requests and management reports.
What You Bring: Experience & Qualifications
You are pursuing a bachelor's degree at an accredited college/university, preferably majoring in Accounting.
Your college/university allows for a full-time work schedule throughout the 16-20-week Program: Spring, 2025 to Fall, 2025.
Eligible candidates must be able to work out of the Warren, NJ office 3 times a week throughout this Co-Op Program.
Understand general finance concepts and quantitative modeling skills a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Interest and ability to multi-task across multiple projects.
Conversant in basic Finance and Accounting terminology and concepts
Comfortable learning to use innovative technology, such as AuditBoard, Oracle, Bloomberg and other applications used throughout the organization.
Possess excellent analytical, organizational, communication and collaboration skills.
Display leadership and organizational skills and involvement in extracurricular activities, campus clubs/organizations, your community, etc.
Have an ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
