Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:



The security manager serves as a specialist in the development, implementation and administration of internal facility security functions including maintaining security requirements. This role analyzes security documents and manuals and maintains appropriate levels of controls.



REPRESENTATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES:



The following responsibilities are general duties that a particular employee in this position may or may not be required to perform. The actual duties required of this position will vary.


  • Creates and distributes security manuals, documents and records. Maintains facility security requirements and implements procedures for safeguarding proprietary and furnished data.

  • Performs periodic and random security inspections and prepares security reports as necessary. Issues security violation citations as required by inspections.

  • Maintains inspection reports and records and advises senior management of deficiencies and remedial/disciplinary efforts to ameliorate deficiencies.

  • Prepares personnel actions and forms to request security clearance/special access and maintains records of such requests. Briefs incoming staff on security processes and debriefs outgoing staff.

  • Establishes and maintains procedures on handling, safeguarding and destruction of documents and data in accordance with established processes and appropriate timelines.

  • Conducts security awareness training sessions with new staff.

  • Assists in the implementation and administration of automated security systems. Maintains records for periodic secure systems inspections with liaisons and other technical professionals.

  • Perform other duties as required.



    EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION:





  • High school diploma and a minimum of three years of industrial security experience.

  • Working knowledge of customer security requirements and incident investigation.

  • Must maintain a valid Driver's License.

  • State issued clearance card.

  • Experience with MS Office including Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Previous experience in a union environment.

Base Salary Range: $75-95
