Job Description:

Responsible for Supervising Engineering Team, providing resources for existing engineering projects. Also responsible for developing existing talent and attracting and hiring new talent when needed. Works closely with engineering teams to collaborate, organize and continue to improve our processes.

Engineering Manager Job Responsibilities:

  • Designs, implements and refines product development design practices.

  • Manages staff and assigns tasks to engineering and technical personnel.

  • Works closely with developing team members to help them plan and grow their careers.

  • Works closely with team members to maintain the existing atmosphere of a unified team with a unified support structure.

  • Works closely with team members to help them maintain their mental health.

  • Continue to provide team members with an atmosphere that makes it attractive for them to want to come to work in the office.

  • Leads team in the development of new products, solutions and processes.

  • Oversees project logistics and resource allocation.

  • Strives to continually improve efficiency and sustainability of processes and product designs.

  • Secures the resources needed for teams to excel, including researching and proposing capital investments.

  • Helps to create project budgets and engages when needed in cost management strategies.

  • Attends trade shows and conferences and makes site visits to suppliers and customer facilities.

  • Forges and maintains relationships with suppliers and customers.

  • Advocates on behalf of team members by securing adequate resources for success.

  • Maintains high level expertise in the engineering field.

  • Assures that processes meet quality and safety compliance guidelines.

  • Collaborates with other team leaders and departments.

Engineering Manager Qualifications/Skills :

  • Personnel and project management skills

  • Expert-level knowledge of HPC Hardware technology and processes

  • Strategic thinking

  • Leadership, teambuilding and mentoring skills

  • Strong communication , interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

  • Attention to detail

  • Flexible thinking including the ability to pivot and try new approaches when faced with challenges

  • Organizational, planning and documentation skills

  • Proficiency using presentation software

  • Ability to work on multiple projects in various stages simultaneously

  • Past use or experience with PDM software preferably Agile and SAP

  • Experience using computer-aided design( CAD) platforms preferably Solidworks

Engineering Manager Qualifications/Skills:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering Required

  • 4-5 years relevant work experience

  • 1-2 years of people management experience

USD Annual Salary: $115,500.00 - $266,000.00
