As a Compounding Pharmacy Technician, you will be working on a specialized team focused on compounding medications for critically ill patients. This role is very detail-oriented, requires specialized training (provided in-house) and has significant physical requirements. You'll spend most of your day working inside a controlled environment (clean room suite) performing sterile compounding activities and maintenance of the suite (including daily cleaning/disinfecting of the rooms, furniture, and equipment). Additional responsibilities include processing prescription orders, documenting compounding records, unpacking/restocking/storing supplies, performing cycle counts, sanitizing materials for use inside the clean room, performing non-sterile compounding, packing orders, cleaning the prep area, completing annual re-training/competency assessments, and assisting our general pharmacy fulfillment department when necessary.
Work Schedule: Hourly role, 40-hours per week. 10 hour shifts Monday-Thursday 6AM-5PM with 1 hour provided for lunch (unpaid). Schedule is subject to change due to business needs.
NOTE: Compounding operations will eventually include Fridays, requiring a change in scheduled shifts and/or scheduled start/end times (may be rotation of four 10 hour shifts and/or five 8 hour shifts) depending on business need.
This role is worksite dependent and can only be performed on-site.
