Schneider Electric has an outstanding opportunity for a motivated individual to participate as a Summer 2025 Engineering Support Intern for Process Automation tasks in Chicago, IL.

What will you do?


  • Provide software programming support in complex process automation setups, primarily in the brewing and food industry.

  • Assist in creating tailored software solutions for process automation technology based on process specifications.

  • Work together with our engineers in parametrizing and programming of real world applications for the process industry in the USA and Canada.

  • Support the project team in finding the best possible solution for customer requirements.


What qualifications will make you successful?

  • Actively pursuing a degree in Engineering

  • Comfortable with Organizational Agility

  • Are self-motivated and self-directed with a sense of urgency.

  • Have a solid work ethic - honors responsibility and commitment.

  • Have strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

  • Possess excellent communication and team collaboration skills (English language)

  • Possess proven ability to achieve results

  • Able to work out of our Chicago, Illinois site (please note, this position does not provide funding for relocation)
