Training Assessment Specialist

The Training Assessment Specialist reports to and receives work direction derivatives from the Project Manager. The Training Assessment Specialist will perform the following duties:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop collection plans for M&S products and services which enable comparative evaluation of BSC programs and systems against their ability to attain exercise objectives and training goals.
Gather statistics relevant to Measures of Effectiveness and Measures of Performance from M&S programs supported at each BSC in order to inform training assessments for BSC and TECOM LVC-TE staff personnel.
Assist in identification of training gaps or needs and propose development of training products or services that improve the workforce ability to perform tasks where training needs are identified.
Monitor and analyze trends in M&S operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) at each BSC and across the TECOM LVC-TE.
Analyze and assess state of research resources and determine mission-critical gaps in M&S products and services.
Attend meetings, answer questions and provide input to topics, produce meeting minutes relevant to M&S training assessment.
Create periodic training assessment reports.
Provide after action recommendations and lessons learned following conclusion of BSC or TECOM LVC-TE OAIs.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Minimum of five years' experience as a USMC Officer or Staff Non-Commissioned Officer in a combat arms MOS
Two years' experience managing Training and Readiness for subordinates.
Bachelor's Degree required, or 10 years' work experience.
Formal instructor experience desired.
Modeling and simulation experience desired.

Expected to perform independently and exercise good judgment.
The ideal candidate has experience as a combat arms Platoon or Company commander or SNCO, battery/company training officer/SCNO with a profound interest in training and data collection, with experience as an instructor at a MOS producing school.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Travel may be required.
Required to sit for extended periods of time and maintain focus.
Qualification as an authorized company driver is required.
All authorized company drivers must have a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to the company's auto insurance provider
SECURITY CLEARANCE
A NATO Secret clearance is required for this position.
