Volt is hiring for a Customer Service Representative in Torrance, California.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will:
Communicate with customers by phone to address inquiries on orders, returns, shipments, and products.
Receive and input orders via phone and fax into the system accurately.
Contact customers proactively to inform them of any shipment delays or request additional information needed to process orders.
Initiate tracers with carriers as necessary.
Make adjustments or cancel orders/backorders as requested by customers.
Process replacement orders to correct errors (e.g., shortages or incorrect items shipped).
Update and maintain the customer database for accuracy.
Fill out necessary forms and determine charges for requested services.
Promote additional services to existing customers.
Handle customer complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
Collect customer feedback to improve service quality.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, first shift
This is a full-time Temp-to-Hire opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Minimum of one year of data entry experience.
Ability to type at least 35 words per minute.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 2007 (or newer) and experience using fax machines.
Ability to perform basic calculations and data entry using a 10-key keypad.
Capable of understanding and interpreting technical information.
Strong communication skills with good grammar, voice, and diction.
Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, courteous, and helpful attitude.
Bilingual - Fluent in both English and Spanish.
Import/Export experience is a plus.
Pay Rate: $17.00/hour.
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
