Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Administrator to join our team at MCoE. MCoE's mission is to provide initial and sustainment of MC Digital Training Instruction to Programs of Instruction (POI), Tenant Units, Simulation Systems Administration maintenance and operations, and Supported Non-Tenant Units that train at the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE).
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and administering MCoE's computer networks. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of communication networks in order to provide maximum performance and availability for end users.
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure and maintain network hardware and software
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problems
- Ensure network security and protect against unauthorized access and maintain MCoE network infrastructure
- Perform regular backups and disaster recovery operations
- Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure efficient operation of the company's systems
- Provide technical support to end-users
- Maintain documentation of network configurations and procedures
Job Requirements:
- Minimum of two (2) years of college in Networking, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field; and two (2) years of documented experience in Microsoft Office, Windows Server, Exchange, and Active Directory, and/or demonstrated combination of education and experience performing associated tasks to include, but not limited to Microsoft Office, Windows Server and client OS products, as well as Active Directory, VMware, vSphere, Elastic Sky X (ESX), Elastic Sky X improved (ESXi), Vmware Data Recovery, ThinApp, and View
- Proven experience as a Network Systems Administrator or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of network hardware and software
- Experience with network security and firewalls
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or MCSE are a plus
An Active Secret Clearance is required for this role.
